Stacey Ruf

Substantive areas of study: Family Demography, Statistics

Research interests: I am primarily interested in young adult life course transitions, particularly those

related to family formation.  In my dissertation I am examining the impact of attendance at a low socio-economic school on a teenager's likelihood of having a pregnancy using a multi-level discrete time event history analysis. I focus on the racial-ethnic differences in the likelihood of having a teenage birth, as well as the intervening effects of parents, peers and teachers.
